This is my first blog. Ever. I guess I am pretty slow on the uptake, because I think even my Gran has her own blog by now. Maybe next year I will discover what bluray and HD compatible mean.
In the meantime, I am blogging. I originally wanted to track my weight loss, but in the process of losing weight, I met some interesting people and went to some exciting places, and read far too many books on Buddhism that eventually my health and wellbeing became much more important than the numbers on the scales (though don’t get me wrong – I still love to see them going down!)
So, this blog is about my quest for a healthy, more fulfilled life. It’s worth noting that I just broke up with my boyfriend. We’re still great friends, but it knocked me for six a little, and I found that I had A LOT more spare time on my hands. That might explain why I find time for three work outs on some days, time for ‘omming’ seminars and time to read an awful lot of stuff on the internet about Buddhism, weight conversions, vegetarian meals, pranayama and anything else that I am obsessed with that day, during the hours I am supposed to be working.
At the moment, I am a 27 year old freelance journalist living in Bangkok. When I started the blog, I was a 26 year old journalist slaving away for 10 hours a day in a boring office and dreaming of the day when I'd be freelancing in Bangkok.
But, the grass is always greener, so I'd probably rather be doing whatever it is you did on your most exciting adventure. As long as it's travel related, I wish I was doing it. My current obsessions are journalism (as always), yoga (should I do yoga teacher training?), international development (I'm contemplating a Masters), losing weight and bumming around the world having adventures. I don't think about much else.
